Recently, “Made in China“ is the hottest news. Many made-in-china products such as toys, medicine, foods import to USA are causing some huge troubles. Few days ago, I met two travelers from other countries. They asked my opinions about products made in China. They thought “Made in China” means crap. “Made in China” sucks. I have nothing to say.

Few days ago, I post Backpack Journey 2007 – Guangzhou Treasure hunting. I have had a good time hunting treasures. I have walked a lot and are hungry all the time. If you know a little bit about Chinese culture, you know that Chinese treat “eating” as the first thing and most important thing in their life. Chinese love eating. Hungry is the worst thing that Chinese hated.
Ever since China opened the door to western world. KFC and Macdonald became two of the favorite fast restaurants in China. In the USA, Macdonald and KFC are most likely treated as cheap fast food restaurants. What about that in China?

I have been to Hong Kong many times, every time I visited Hong Kong, I saw the changes. However, there are certain things that will never change. Two of that is the traditional culture of eating and shopping. Hong Kong is well known as the shopping paradise and Dim Sum heaven.
You can see many GOLD jewelry stores next to each other on one side of the street. Many people came to Hong Kong for shopping will find it very attractive. You can pretty much see the gold shinning all over the place. The second most popular shopping items are cloth. They are very cheap. You can also find a lot of cell phones and accessories in Hong Kong.
Backpack Journey 2007 – Landed in Hong Kong with Typhoon
After transferred the flight from Taiwan, I finally landed safe in Hong Kong. However, it’s a typhoon season. There is a #3 Typhoon in Hong Kong, which means that no school day for students. It’s also very hot and very humid. My shirt are wet at all time.
Backpack Journey 2007 – Transfer flight in Taiwan
Here I am! After 13 hours flight from LA to Taipei, I am sitting in front of the free Internet store and type this blog. I will fly to Hong Kong in just about two and half hours. The funny thing is that I use Yahoo Messenger to call my brother in Taiwan. It’s actually connect to the Yahoo voice server in the US and calling to Taiwan from there. So the voice delays, but OK.
