This afternoon, I spent 6 hours in the book store and tried to pickup a marketing book that will help me boost my online business. I pick one from the 16 marketing books. The book is written by Beth Goldstein, founder of Marketing Edge Consulting Group, LLC. The book name is The Ultimate Small Business Marketing Toolkit: All the Tips, Forms, and Strategies You’ll Ever Need!

I have a lot of reading home work to do. I may come back to pick few of the rest 15 marketing books.

If you read my blog post in the past few days, you probably feel my anger about the marketing company. I have decided to fire my marketing companies and do Internet Marketing on my own. The goal is to lower the marketing cost and boost the sales.

Entrecard, a well known traffic exchange widget, which has generated a big buzz a while back. It actually made me got rid off BlogRush widget at first place. Personally, BlogRush is the the most useless widget, it only brought me few visitors in 4 months before I got rid of it.

As a blogger, generating quality traffic, earning readers’ trust and increasing readership are more important than receiving thousands Entrecard credit with no increase of readership. It’s time to review my traffic sources while I will spend more time on generating organic search engine traffic for my online business.

Many people like blog contest! The happiest blog in the world is no exception. They will be giving away 4000 entrecards points and free ad space to the winner on July 5th 2008. The rules seem to be very simple. You can read more about that below. Personally, entrecard has been driving OK traffic to this blog in the past. If you watch Alexa Traffic Ranking closely like I do, you probably notice that the traffic ranking was not updated for few days. Today, Alexa has made significant changes to their traffic ranking system. They claim that the ranking system will be more accurate by collecting more data from multiple sources from all over the world.

Alexa Traffic Ranking has been used by many bloggers, web sites and pay per click advertiser to determine the amount of traffic a web site is getting. They will them decide the value of the web site. I have post many articles about Alexa Traffic Ranking and StumbleUpOn. I was using both to gain a lot of attention on the Internet. Now the traffic ranking world is changing.

Will the Alexa Traffic ranking kill StumbleUpOn?

I was reading one of my favorite magazines yesterday. An article in the CIO Magazine just popup and caught my attention. It’s about 5 women, who stood up and claimed their reputation and made themselves well known as IT leaders by others in their industries. Promotion is a key to get recognition. A good read!

What also attracts me is the title of the article. “Me, Myself & I” is also the blog title of one of my must read daily blogs. I recently cut down my RSS Feed subscription from 300+ to 89. You can visit Mirjam’s blog at Me Myself and I. She is also one of the great blogger smiles on the happiest blog in the world. You can find her great smile at Happy Smile - filled with hope and love, happiness and strength. I think is she doing such a great job to get her name out there everyday.

Just few months ago, I turned of the do-follow plug-in in the WordPress. My original purpose was to reduce the spam comments on my blog. Yes. My spam comments have since drop 80% in the past few months. Today I was informed by one of my readers who really want to get a quality link back to his web site or blog. I thought it will be a great idea to turn it back on. The question is this.

Do you leave comment on my blog, because I do follow?

If you read my blog for sometime, you probably know that I care about my blog readers so much. I want to know who reads my blog and who is commenting.
