It’s been a while since my last use of Tumblr blog platform for automation. I found it actually generate traffic and revenue on one of my automated Tumblr blog. So I decided to start a personal one, so I have a space that I can bitch about the stuff I don’t want to put on Facebook, Twitter or anywhere else.

Interestingly, I caught up with the iOS6 upgrade on iPhone. So I was testing some stuff and instantly getting over 200+ unique visitors in one day on my 3 days old reborn tumblr blog. So I have to revamp the site to make it looks better and generate Ad clicks. Here is the old look and I use automated script to pull in all my Facebook update to Tumblr. Not a pretty site.

Here is the new look of my Tumblr blog for my Bullshit.

Authority Is The Key To The Ultimate Success

I have not had an AH-HA moment for sometime until last night.

I’ve spent my life on the Internet since 1992 and become on and off on many projects. I worked as corporate slave for years too. I finally realized that I miss the most important key to become success in the digital world.

I know I have to do my best, and I know I have to be the best I can be. However, I was never motivated to become the AUTHORITY of what I do. I was blind, distracted and not seeing things from third angle. Really. I look back the past 6 years since I move on to my own entrepreneur journey. I have had up and down, good time and bad time, but I keep changing my direction and working some side projects to just make extra passive income. I was never an authority of anything other than my name. I enjoyed too much about “I have done good enough!I obviously have NOT done enough.

Passive Income With Weebly Web Builder

Just exactly 10 days ago, I post my new side project to generate passive income using Weebly’s awesome website builder. Now the first niche website is already ranked on the first page of Google due to the exactly match of domain name. This is just the beginning. With further search engine optimization, I shall be able to gain good ranking and traffic with many different search terms.

Again, the niche site will not run Google AdSense to generate revenue. It’s going to be a website rental model. With the little success, I decided to build a second one to rank and rent. Again, the website is also built with Free Weebly’s website builder.

Passive Income With Weebly Niche Site

Not too long ago, I post my passive income side project using Free Website builder – Blogger and Weebly. Now I am back on this subject again. After few months testing, I find Weebly a very well created platform for generating more niche targeted passive income.

No wonder other Weebly competitors are going down (Yola, Webs), but Weebly still stands still.

[UPDATE] Read about the round 2 of building passive income niche site with Weebly.

Here is few reasons that I choose Weebly for niche project over blogger. I am not saying Blogger is bad, it is just better to use Weebly for non-Google AdSense type of website. In other words, on those Weebly built sites, there will be NO AdSense, which is 50-50% shared with Weebly. Ouch! The income will come from the value you put on the site with quality content and lead generation.

Here are the main reasons I use Weebly for niche project.

  1. Very easy to use – For web developer like me, I can easily setup a new site in less than 1 hours, get custom domain point to the site, register Google webmaster, Bing webmaster and get indexed in matter of just one day.
  2. Better Design and Template – Weebly gives a whole bunch clean designs and allows you to change image header and add text in it.
  3. Really clean code – Weebly generate a clean HTML code, which reduce the page load time.
  4. Multiple Media – Weebly gives pretty much all the multiple media integration you need. I can easily add a new Google map and video.
  5. SEO Friendly – Weebly gives you the power to create unique title, meta description for each page, but NOT each blog post.
  6. No Hacking – So far, I have not heard any one claiming their Weebly site being hacked. I, however, has so much trouble on my own WordPress website being hacked over and over again. I also have to take care of all the upgrade and plugin update. That’s time consuming. It cost my time (money) to do so.

If you are a paid customer of Weebly, you can host 10 custom sites on one account for only $71.80 for TWO FREAKING YEARS. That’s what I did. And here is how I did it.

Affiliate Marketing – Catching The Big Fish

Finally, after all these years hard working and making no huge revenue as affiliate marketer, I’ve decided to slowly move away from being an affiliate marketer selling other people’s products. I am starting a new chapter. Now I am offering affiliate program to stay home moms, coupon bloggers, deal catcher and anyone who wants to make 50%+ residual income month after month.

I know there are a lot of challenge ahead of me, but I know I am one step closer to take control of my business model and spend less time on something I don’t do well. Here is the only catch. You have to be a US citizen in order to get paid. I am not ready to blast out the network to international affiliates, since it’s all about promoting local businesses in the US.

I am also getting tired of being dragged by small local businesses, which don’t dare to spend marketing money to improve their businesses. They are not the target customer. I am going after the big fish.

I thought about writing this for a long time. While I am in the process to foreclose my unused Internet assets and web properties, I was able to generate Google AdSense income on many of those sites. So I am here to share that with you.

First of all, this is NOT a long term way to generate significant passive income. This will just generate some extra income to pay for your Starbucks coffee, iPad or fancy digital camera gadgets. It will also give you a quick start to test your niche. However, You will need to put more efforts into it to generate significant income.

I am about to close the last chapter of my SLOWLAN Passive Income plan, but I do know there are people out there trying to create extra income and they value their money more than their time. This is for them! It’s a SLOWLANE way to generate extra money. If you want a FASTLANE way to generate money, you need to create an automated system.

So what do you need to accomplish it?

Rethink Affiliate Marketing From Aisle 100

Affiliate Marketing
Digital Photo Taken By Me At Phoenix Women’s Expo.

It’s been a long time since my last crash on Affiliate Marketing in 2001-2003. At that time, I really don’t know where I will be going with affiliate marketing. There were only few big player at that time such as Amazon and commission junction. Everyone is selling the same things while only getting 4% commission from the big player.

Every since Facebook becomes a money maker and play ground for new comers to generate income, I have to rethink the possibility of using social media to generate extra passive income. Don’t get me wrong. Affiliate is a great way to generate significant income, but it has a fundamental fraud.

You have no control.

clocks

Just found out this old post I did a long long time ago. Clock is ticking – Are you working hard or working smart! I have one confession to make.

What a loser I am.

Yup! I don’t have to hear that from you. I admit that I haven’t really changed that much other than the fact that I did move forward. I am not moving fast enough.

Here was the goal I set a long time ago and I posted on my Facebook wall.

Duh! Crap! What am I doing here?

If I want to make $1M a year, I have to make $2 every minutes none stop and no sleep. If I work 8 hours a day. That means I have to make 3 times of that per minute. So I have to make $6 a minute at $360 per hour rate with no vacation, no weekend and no sick day for 365 days.

I really don’t want to work. So everything I do must generate passive income.

Passive Income

Passive income. I can’t count how many times I remind myself about creating the passive income.

So here I am.
