Just about a month ago, I post my horrible result on one of my local niche project. I guess I was too panic about the trends going down hill to think clearly. A month later, I now realize that I still have chance to grow my business even the overall trends are going down to hell. The down hill trend isn’t just affecting me. It affects everyone of my competitors too. So if the main keyword isn’t working, I just need to find a new one and work on it.

As you can see, my old keywords are going down and stay flat, but I just found two new keywords that has potential and are growing steady based on Google insights.

3 Seconds Business Rule

Last night was not a great night in terms of life changing event. I missed the big opportunity in simply 3 seconds. However, I did learn something I never previously thought about. Thanks to the person who drop my business card to the dirt in 3 seconds. I know it may sounds that the person is ridiculously rude. It actually hits my head really really hard and makes me believe that I will do the same when someone hand me their business card in the future.

This is what happened last night. A friend of mine introduces me to a high profile business man. He is well respected in the industry and a very busy business man. What amazed me about him is that he DOESN’T DO ANY WORK OTHER THAN MAKING PHONE CALLS.

With one simple call to the right person, he can get what he wants, get job done and make lots money. For people like him, he doesn’t have TIME. Time is most valuable assets to him. It was my honor to be able to meet him in person. So I got my chance to introduce myself to him. He asked “What do you do?” I handed my so-called very professional and double side business card to him and said lots things that I don’t even remember now. He looked at the card for 3 seconds and said to me. “Interesting! Where is your phone number?

Restaurant Photo galleryI know what you are thinking. I have been promoting WordPress for building restaurant website or any website for a while. However, when it comes to cut cost, there must be other options. I built a free restaurant website example a while back to demonstrate how easy and fast you can get your site up running. Best of all, it’s free. Of course, the time you spend on building the site is NOT free.

You can read the post at – Build Restaurant Website for FREE! Now I am taking that to the next level by adding photo gallery, direction and review page. So I was doing a favor to a local business friend to build a quick website at very low cost to drive instant traffic to the site.

Redbrick Pizza Gilbert is a well established pizza restaurant in the USA. The store in Gilbert and Chandler wants a website in just matter of few days. So I helped them put together a single page restaurant web site at first. Now the site has grown to multiple pages.

It’s almost a year ago, I post Weekend Confession – Plenty of opportunities saying Google was trying to acquire Yelp.com for $550 million dollars. A year later in December 2010, Google is trying to buy Groupon for $6 billion dollar. Obviously, there were a lot of opportunities. So how am I doing on my business?

Well. From Google’s perspective, my business sucks! It’s time to look back and give my self a serious examination.

If you read my blog post about my new direction of running online business and creating passive income to support my lifestyle, you will know that making advertising income on your websites is the easiest way to achieve that. Today, I received a small amount of affiliate revenue that cover the cost of the Toll Free service entirely.

Shamelessly, I believe I am really good finding inexpensive deals online to save money while running my online business. In late 2008, I talked about using long gone AOL’s AIM phoneline and Skype and even Yahoo Voice to communicate with my customers. I also talked about using a great Toll Free service from Kall8.com to receive incoming call, voice mail and fax.

With the Google Voice in the market, I have successfully using Google Voice to take care of communication. Now Kall8 will handle my incoming fax solely. If you are thinking to make extra affiliate income, make sure you signup their Toll Free services, affiliate program and promote Kall8. It pays off eventually.

Back on the topic. This is how I use inexpensive phone system to communicate with my customers.
