2011 New Year Resolutions

It’s almost the end of 2010 and beginning of the 2011. What are your new year resolutions?

First of all, we just got a new baby boy in our family! It’s going to be a great year for our family.

I did a post few days ago about my confession of year 2010. I also plan to change my life in 100 days.

Things are going well so far to me!

Here are my new year resolutions that will help me accomplish my goals to change my life!

Confession 2010

It’s almost a year ago, I post Weekend Confession – Plenty of opportunities saying Google was trying to acquire Yelp.com for $550 million dollars. A year later in December 2010, Google is trying to buy Groupon for $6 billion dollar. Obviously, there were a lot of opportunities. So how am I doing on my business?

Well. From Google’s perspective, my business sucks! It’s time to look back and give my self a serious examination.

CodeIgniter image_lib bug in the image process loop

Few days ago, I post a Facebook social plugin problem on one of the project, which use CodeIgniter PHP framwork. Now I identify a new bug in the Codeigniter image_lib library.

The image was not resized correctly. Now the issues is resolved. I have post the problem and solutions on my personal Take It Off Road blog.

Prevent Facebook Social Plugin to load page twice – CodeIgniter

Recently, I discovered one of my web project build on top of CodeIgniter is having issues with duplicate page views. It only happens to FireFox and Google Chrome browser. It looks just find on IE, Opera and Safari browser. So I keep researching and researching and finally found out that Facebook Social Plugin is hitting the page after the initial page load from the browser triggered by the end user.

I am not sure why it doesn’t happen to browsers other than FireFox and Google Chrome. There has to be a way to prevent this from screwing up my page view counter.
