Can’t believe time goes by so fast. It’s already year 2009. Many bloggers have post their 2009 resolutions. I don’t. I don’t really have new resolutions, since I have many plans in my plate since I quit my full time job in 2006.
My idea to secure my life on the Internet has not changed. My goal to fulfill dream has not changed. What have changed in the pass year are my point of views about life. If you know what happened to me few weeks ago, you know that my wife and I have experienced a lot about life. Life is short. You have to learn taking care of yourself between life and death and expecting the unexpected.
What have I learned in 2008?
- There is no perfect plan.
- Life is short – Take time off and treat yourself and your love one right.
- Social Network is the dead end of your success, if you only promote yourself.
- Internet Marketing won’t work, if you don’t know who you are targeting and what you are market for.
What will I do in 2009 to make a huge success?
- Spend more time helping poor people
- Spend more time helping other small business owners
- Get the project done, which will really help other business grow
- Enjoy life with family
What’s your plan for 2009? Have your plans changed since 2008?

Good points.I made a post called “How to market a blog in 2009″.For instance, writing a blog post every day and writing more in-depth articles is something I will focus on this year. This is a plan, but as you said, no plan is perfect
Those are great things to have learnt, and even more fantastic things to be aspiring for in 2009.
I had a busy 2008 and learnt alot also about how the best laid plans can still have hickups.
2009 for me is very similar to yours as well. It is more goals that run congruently with my purpose in life to be the best me I can be and help others to be the best that they can be.
Good post, my plan is to first and foremost grow as a Christian, and second, only focus on achieving one goal at a time, and taking manageable steps to do so.
I have a habit of setting ridiculously hard goals and not following through with them, and I think the best way to achieve anything is to make it brain dead simple.
My plans needed some tweaking. I definitely agree with you that there is no such thing as a perfect plan.
The Top 3:
1.) Stop doing what I shouldn’t be doing — delegate some more
2.) Think of solutions I can offer to people’s problems before thinking of how to make more money
3.) Bring my family to Pagudpod Island — a road trip that my kids will always remember.
Great post, Terence. For 2009, it’s incredibly important to be in touch with family and investing time in helping others. In the end, all we have is each other.

Thank you for stopping by. Glad that you left comment here. I was looking at the your company web site and surprised that someone actually were certified by your company as marketing guru. Interesting.
Hey Terence!
I hope my plan doesn´t come in late LOL but I definitely want to focus on less things than in 2008. My two main focus points will be more indepth posts on my blog with consistency (not daily though!) and work on OWM to finish one project each week
good luck to you in all your ventures!
I always don’t make plans because I always think that plans are only plans and will not become a reality if it was not suppose to be. But having a plan is better, I think. At least you know where you are going. If things happen that you didn’t make it there, at least you tried.
I guess there some kind of an unconscious thing in our minds that make it work. For example, it was one of my plans that I should have a laptop this year even though I know that my debts are way above my head and continue sinking. But just last week my sister-in-law was planning to give me her laptop. Maybe it’s just a coincidence.
Hi my friend, how are you doing? Seems like you are only updating your twitter account every once in a while, I had been running against a brick wall on my block as well and decided for a fresh, clean start. What do you think of the new layout at svensworld?
Hope to read a few new posts soon.
