Hiking at Lost Dutchman Trail – Life is good!

2008 Lost Dutchman Trail Hiking

It’s never a better time to hike in the mountain in Phoenix. Arizona. Winter is the best season for me try out some cool trail. My wife and love hiking. We’ve work so hard from Monday to Friday. We deserve some time to relax and do some real exercise. As a self-starter Internet Entrepreneur, I always believe that we should work hard and play hard.

After reading Justin Wright’s The Peralta Trail post, who recently have a great post on Darren’s Problogger about 5 Valuable Lessons You Can Learn From Blogging. I think it’s good idea to share my real life experience on my blog.

The is not the first time we hike at Lost Dutchman Trail. You can find more information about the Lost Dutchman Trail at Arizona State Park web site.

We got up pretty early at 7:00AM and arrival at the trail head at about 8:00AM. The sun was behind the mountain. It was a very beautiful cool day to start with. That’s the beauty to hike in Arizona in Winter.

The short trail we did are about 2.5 miles. It only took us 2 hours to finish. It was not very long. We will get up even earlier next time to go higher mountain. I use my GPS device to track the time we spent on the trail and the distance we actually hike. Too bad, there is no cell phone signal for T-Mobile, I am glad that I haven’t got my G1 phone yet.

Here are some of the photos. You can also see more hiking photos of 2008 Lost Dutchman Trail Hiking on Flickr.

The trail is very easy. It is divided into different short and longer trail. It’s very steady and suitable for whole families to hike without any problem. Although there are other trails lead you to the higher mountain, it’s not where most people go. The state park also offer camp ground. So you can actually came in the park if you want to spend whole day in the mountain.

The view from the mountain is breathtaking. If you want to hike at Lost Dutchman Trail, you should get up early and get ready on the top point of the trails, so you can look back to the other side of the city when sun comes up.

It’s winter. All the grass and bush turn into white or light brown color. It looks like a big fuzzy carpet on the hill. Of course, I was so enjoy the scene and can’t resist to be a wild big foot bear running wild to scare the hiker. I don’t look that scary, did I? I guess I look more like a lost hiker finally found some foods to eat.

Anyway, It’s a nice day to hanging out with lovely wife and enjoy the life. OK. I don’t think other entrepreneur look like me, but that is what I am in the real life. After all, finding balance in your life is as important as making good living online. Enjoy life with your families is what we all want before the end of our life.

Hope you enjoy the photos and take your families out to enjoy the great winter.

Those are really good pics. That is something that I would really like to do. The brown carpet is very different to the green that we get to experience just about all year round over here.
