Isn’t it beautiful? I got up at 5:00AM in the morning and took many photos of this famous place. It’s the land’s end at Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in April 2006.
In 2006, my wife and I decided to take a cruise trip to Cabo San Lucas and many other beautiful places in Mexico. This was one of the most important trip in my life. I quit my full time job after the trip. While sitting on the ship and enjoying my wonderful life with the lovely other half, I made important decision in my life. My journey has just begun!
Two years later, I am heading to Cabo San Lucas again! There will be no important decision to make, because the decision has been made 2 years ago. This is the best time to review my journey and take my journey beyond my imagination. So I am going to the land’s end again, where my journey started.
Ever since I quit my full time job, I have made tremendous progress in my life. I have never been so happy about my life. I have to admit that I have NOT reach my goals to become successful entrepreneur and live the life style I always dream of, but I am one step closer to my goal every single day. So can you!
In the past two years, I often felt lonely on my journey. I felt that I was going alone in the dark or singing alone. With many support from the blog friends, readers and social network buddies, I can motivate myself and move forward. The biggest challenges I am facing is not how difficult the goal is to reach, but to generate the motivation to push myself moving forward. Without a firm direction and goals in front of me, I am afraid of moving backward.
Luckily, I am not the only one who wants to control their own life and live without worries about their financial freedom. I met so many smart and intelligent people online and offline.
I would like to thank those who that have helped me, motivated me or inspired me.

- Start saving every penny that you don’t have to spend.
- Pay off your debt before buying a new toys or LCD screen TV.
- Cut your cable TV and just watch the local channels through antenna.

Just think that you are at the land’s end! Your new journey begins now.

Terence, I feel so privileged that you mentioned me as an inspiration. This post inspires me. It makes me remember how I feel in Mexico, which you know is one of my great loves. Now I feel determined that once I pay down some more debt, my next financial goal will be to return to Mexico once more.I’ve never been to the whole Baja Peninsula. Enjoy your trip. Please come home and show us more photos.
Viva La Mexico!
And thanks so much for the link love.
Your mate from Down Under
Kelly
Thanks so much for listing my as an inspiration! I greatly appreciate it. It’s a tough world to try and make a living on your own in but it can be done. The key is to stick with it and find others that share the same goals. Forgot those who say it’s can’t be done and before you know it, great things happen!
Hi Terence – that’s brilliant. It looks awesome. I would love to go back to Mexico – it’s beautiful and everyone is so friendly.
Thank you for mentioning me. I know we don’t always see eye to eye – probably my fault, when I have PMT but I still read your blog. I was still LMAO today at your spam post I read yesterday – it’s the funniest response to spammers I ever read.
I really need to take your advice on the smoking thing and stop. It is so expensive – especially here in the UK and so dangerous too.
Have a wonderful trip. I hope it inspires you and I hope you’ll tell us all about it when you get back.
@Kelly:
It’s always fun to read your blog. It gives me a chance to see from different angles. It helps me understand other people thoughts in their shoes. I am sure I will have lots photo taken.
@Justin Wright:
I am surprise to see you here. I just love how much fun you have! I dream to travel around the world while I still can, but I have to build something that can support my dream. You are right, great things happen all the time. I am watching your next move. I love your White Sand photos. I have been there few years ago. It’s an awesome experience to see yourself as the only black spot in the white sand.
@Cath Lawson:
You are right. We may not see eye to eye, but that’s how we adjust our direction and avoid mistakes by listening different voice and criticism. Your advices are very helpful. I find it irresistible to continue read what you have to offer. That’s a good thing to both of us.
Every since I cut down my Starbucks expenses, I have saved almost a thousand dollars a year. Now I am totally debt free!
You are such an inspiration yourself you know. You always appear to be upbeat and positive and that is one of the major keys to being successful.
Don’t forget I want a guest post when you gt back from land’s end.
@Debo Hobo:
Thank you! I think being positive is also my problem. I am always too positive about the future.
I am sure that I will come up something to say! I will be back on Nov 16th.
Terence it is awesome that you have saved $1000 in a year just from not drinking coffee.
I’m going to set myself a challenge – by the time you come back from Mexico, I will have quit smoking.
Have a brilliant time.
Terence,
Let’s not forget to mention who you have influenced as well. You helped me get started with social media especially with your articles relating to Stumble Upon. Give yourself some credit too!
funny, when I first saw this post and looked at that picture, I dreamed off… there is a sight looking almost exactly like that here on the coast and I actually made a drive over and sat there for a while, thinking about the past year. LOL it looks like the End of the Year- melancholy is already starting to hit in.
a thousand thanks for the mention, It really does feel I have a friend on the other side of the earth, isn´t it great that is what blogging also brings into our lives?
Your tips are good ones but not many people are really willing to do what it takes to get ahead. There have been many times this past year that I thought I should better go back to a 9 to 5 job, feeling that I was just not going to make it, or that it just wasn´t worth all the trouble of putting every penny I earn online back into the business, and thus not being able to enjoy a lot of other things I could if i were just working for a boss.
But this last year also taught me a lot, for one that i do have stamina and won´t give up. I will just keep on doing it, because I know the pay off in the end will make it all worth it.
Terence, I do hope we meet one day, either on your side of the earth or mine
Great words of wisdom for those who are letting things hold them back from doing what they really want to do. Cutting the TV out will definitely free up a lot of time that most people feel they do not have. With exception to sporting events, I cut out my tv time almost completely (except when I’m sick, and not feeling like doing anything else) and it’s amazing how much more I can get done during the day.
Plus, the tip on not complaining – complaining just gives you negative energy, and losing that negative energy will give way to realizing the positive things around you.
~ Kristi
Hi Terence,
I saw you tweet the other day about being back, so when are we going to hear about your trip?
Dan
@Cath Lawson:
I am back! Have you quit smoking? I hope so!
@Steve C:
Thanks! I am glad that I can help. Hope you are doing well.
@Mirjam:
WOW! Good for you to have the great place like Cabo near you. In reality, my wife and I were thinking to relocate to somewhere new. By visiting other places on earth, we open our mind and got inspired by new ideas. I am sure we will meet soon.
@Kikolani:
Thank you for coming again. I really have no complaints after this trip. How many people can work from home and still take a week off while wife is out of job?
@DCR:
Thank you for asking. Have you seen my new post?
Thanks you for you post. I never to mexico. But in this fact you told about as a wonderful country so i will make a journey to Cabo next year.
