The greater challenge + The unique opportunity = The secret to the success

Internet Bubbles

Where have I been lately?

This is the question I got from my friends, since my last blog post at Weekend Confession 11 – Where I was? Where will I be?

I know my readers tend to spend less time on reading my blog post. I know. I know. There are many reasons that people don’t tend to spend too much time on reading blog post. One of the reasons is that there are too many blog posts to read. I am one of them. I read hundreds blog posts a day. I scan the keywords and decide to stay or to leave. I also spent time on forums and social networking sites as well. Time is so limited.

In the past two weeks, I have tried many ways to boost my online business. I researched, practiced, discovered and made some conclusion about what I have found and done.

1. Internet Marketing Bubbles – I smell and felt the DOT COM Bubbles of Internet Marketing. If you are a blogger, you pretty much sense the trend of Internet Marketing crap out there. There are too many so-called Internet Marketing experts out there selling their service with single landing page. They want you to buy into their non-sense program to boost your sales. What exactly they teach you? They teach you how to do SEO, generate web site traffic and sell your own marketing crap.

2. MLM - I have heard this over and over again. I used to work for company selling herbs supplements with MLM (Multi-layer-Marketing). You get paid by commission. Now the MLM is invading the Internet Marketing industry. There is no physical product. You just pass on the information about how to get paid and how to make money online by having someone to join the program. Crap!

3. Fake Millionaire – Quick != Easy. There are many fake millionaires out there showing you video, program that can make you a millionaire. They never show you their net income. When I met with the local millionaire at Millionaire Club, I know they are real. They show you the personality of millionaire and approve that they worth millions. It’s all about cash flow. You can make million dollars a month, but you spent a million dollar a month too. Are you a millionaire?

Don’t get me wrong. Those people created the programs did make a lot of money. It does work for some people with really good social skills, because people are dragged by the “life time commission” type of business model. There is nothing wrong with MLM or selling nothing for big bucks. It’s just not the type of business I like to do to earn my hard-working money and to achieve my goals.

Recently, I have spent more time on learning from real millionaires who made hard working money in very short time. There are many success stories. There is no easy way to make big money, but there is fast way to make big fortune.

Here are some good articles to read.

My conclusion for my research is end up with just one formula.

The greater challenge + The unique opportunity = The secret to the success

I know you will ask what exactly that means. It may take me thousand words to describe what it means. It won’t make solid sense to you, if I can’t show you exactly what it is. One of the reasons why I started this blog is to show what I did and how I become the successful person. I don’t want to drag you to a crap program or sell you something that means nothing.

Until I can prove it, I don’t want to make you feel that I am just other self-claimed millionaires.

In the past two weeks, I did nail down my path and strategies of my business plan. I will become more aggressive and more risk taken.

End of story!

For once some one is calling a spade a spade and doing it so eloquently. Great post Terence. Any time you want moral support to spread this exact message around the blogworld, just shout for me and I shall come running.

Hey Terence! Always good to see your posts! I have another saying my father always told me whenever I wanted to make my passion (horses) my job… “how to make a small fortune with horses… start with a big fortune” in part he was right, I could have never made my living working with horses, but I am just way glad that I can have them, working from home!

I am, like you, fed up with all the hypes, the selling “nothing” products and programs … there are other ways, where you don´t need to lower your ethics.

I am off reading the articles you recommend, take care my friend, looking forward to see your proof one day, hopefully soon! :D :D

Hi Terence – Well put – I don’t like MLM – as you point out, you’re selling nothing of value. It’s just like a pyramid scheme but they found a way to legalise it by adding an overpriced product that nobody wants and nobody tries to sell.

And don’t get me started on those jerks who can make you a millionaire overnight.

What you say is true – it’s not the making a million that makes you a millionaire – it’s keeping hold of it and investing it in something else.

And no – I’m not a millionaire yet – I keep making too many mistakes.

  4. Hi
Great post, true about fake millionaires, I just hate those guys who tell people money just come out of nowhere, if you want to win money then work and work hard! Thats the way it is, there is no such thing as easy money, unless not legal hahaha.
I’m starting a blog kind like yours. Blogging about how I start a business from a simple idea.
I will appreciate if you could take a look, is:

    Thank you all.

I have been busy in the past few weeks. I felt guilty not able to response to all the comments. I do, however, check all your blog on my Google reader.

Keep up the good work, I don’t want to miss a thing in your life. :-)

  6. I can smell the dot com internet marketing bubble all right! It is too easy to proclaim you’re a millionaire in the internet. People who are millionaires don’t proclaim they are!

  7. Vered says:

Your plan sounds great. And I agree – there are too many scams on the internet.

    Good luck!

  8. Hi Terence,

Great post (and good luck with your business plan). But I want to focus on something you said:

I know my readers tend to spend less time on reading my blog post. I know. I know. There are many reasons that people don’t tend to spend too much time on reading blog post.

I spend less time reading your blog (and many other blogs) and the reason is because I’ve expanded my online enterprises. When I started out, I just had one blog and spent a lot of time reading and made lots of friends such as yourself.

As I’ve started other online projects, I’ve had less time to read and I’ve needed more time on the new projects. That’s actually meant that I’ve lost contact with other bloggers and they visit my site less.

I think this is a real danger to bloggers who’ve been blogging for more than a year. They expand their projects (to make money) and lose the relationships they formed in the early days (and actually become less successful).

I’m not talking about you, because you keep popping up on my site. I don’t know how you do it!

    @Stephen:

I love your blog, because it did show me some unique point of view about your programming experience and about China.

I don’t blame on you not able to visit my blog often, but we all have good time to enjoy each other’s blog. That’s more important!
