Are you following me on Twitter? If you have not tried Twitter, you are missing some great opportunities to communicate with your potential readers or even with some high profile bloggers such as Darren from ProBlogger.net and Maki from DoshDosh.com and many other great talented bloggers. I can’t list them all. So Darren has been very active on the Twitter. You can follow Darren here and Maki here.
Darren was very kind of asking his follower to send him their best blog post with the eye catching title. I have one of mine list on ProBlogger too. You can see the one in Red.
I actually was on Twitter for a long long time, but I was not very active until recently following few big bloggers. Why is Twitter important to me now? Are you tired of been stumbling so many web site and still not find something you really want to read? Are you tired of searching on Google and social bookmarking sites? I have good reasons that you should use Twitter.
Before I get into the points, I have to say that if you are not using Twitter properly, you may be wasting your time chatting. It’s a great tool, but it’s also a tool to waste your valuable time. In most of the cases, I am following the conversation and listening to what people are saying.
My reason to use Twitter:
- High profile blogges always post the must read posts on Twitter. So you don’t have to find them yourself.
- You can use twitterFeed to send your newest post to your follower.
- You get to see some inside conversation between high profile bloggers.
- I can meet with different people from all over the world. Some of them are very rich and famous.
I am going to go through the following 116 twitter and follow them. Are you following me too?
So here are the 116 submissions (where people submitted more than one I’ve only included the first) that I received from my Twitter followers. Surf them - link up to those you connect with and if you’re on Twitter follow as many of this great bunch of bloggers as you can!

Thanks for the link luv, Terence.
Have I told you about Lee’s Sandwich Coffee yet?
April 2nd, 2008 at 11:15 am
@Rudy:
What about Lee’s Sandwich? Do you own the store? I have one near my house here in Phoenix.
April 2nd, 2008 at 4:12 pm
I don’t own the store, but they have good ice coffee. It was related to the Direct Message on Twitter you sent me a while back about McDonald’s ice coffee. I would say Lee’s better.
April 2nd, 2008 at 6:11 pm
Thanks for the link! And I definitely agree that Twitter is a great networking tool. You’ve been followed.
April 2nd, 2008 at 6:33 pm
@Rudy:
That explained well. I was wondering what Lee has anything to do with my post. HA! I will give Lee’s ice coffee a try.
thanks!
@Andrew:
Thank you for stopping by. I can add one more lawyer on my people list.
I will make sure that I follow you as well. Just add many people today.

Well to be honest I just joined few days ago and I see the difference. I also posted my feeds on twitter and that makes a whole lot easier.
Thing is that twitter is fast
and you really have to have catchy title in order to receive better traffic.

@Make Money Online with blog:
You are right. Twitter is fast, especially when you have so many follower. I don’t have a log of followers, but over 25% of the follower click on the links, if my post title is a little spicy.
Thank you for visiting.

I have to admit I have not joined the crowd and jumped on the Twitter bandwagon. I just saw it as a way for Suzie housewife to post what she was doing as any given moment. But there are some big names in blogging on here, and it might be fun to socialize with them.

Hey there Terence, thanks for the link. It’s amazing how quickly you can connect with people on Twitter you otherwise would not be able to. I mean a quick note to Scoble or Darren! hello! get on Twitter!
April 3rd, 2008 at 12:12 pm
Sounds good! I just followed you on Twitter. I think Twitter is a great way to connect with people on the internet, namely bloggers that might be more experienced than you, and can really help with networking. Thanks for the tips

@New Zealand Tourism:
In most of cases, I am listening. I do follow some great bloggers. Some of them are actually very high profile business owners or speakers in the IT industry. It was nice to have them follow me back.
@Josh:
You are welcome. Yeah. I was surprised that Darren actually response back to me on some question I have.
@Jim:
Thank you! Twitter gives me a chance to learn new ideas and read new blog post without searching for it. People post their best post everyday. I just need to screen them and read the one I am interested in. It also give me a chance to see which twitter I will remove from my list. Many of them seem to be very nice on their blog, but they start swear or f words on other twitters. I will just remove them and unsubscribe their RSS FEED forever.
For those who are using Twitter, make sure you don’t say something stupid. There are people following you, but do not want to read your garbage conversation.
April 3rd, 2008 at 3:37 pm
Hi Terence. I just followed you in Twitter. I also use the service as a means to discover what’s new and maybe worth blogging or writing about. I’m #106 in the list. Thanks for the link love!

@Janette Toral:
Thank you for stopping by. I have had so much fun on Twitter. I always get the up-to-date news from other twitters, so I don’t have to look for it. It actually reduce the time I spent on finding interesting news to read.

@James:
That’s true. I love Twitter, but I am very quiet in most of time.
