Yesterday, I post a thought about my entrepreneur journey at “Are you ready to take off or to land? Be the pilot of your business plane!” I believe that my life is just taking off the ground and heading to my destination. I would like to look at my life from the 13000 feet above the ground. This photo was taken on the way back home from Taiwan. The cloud was so beautiful and so weird. I almost felt that I can walk on the cloud.
Nothing can stop me now!
On top of cloud above the world, the sky is so blue and so clear. There is nothing can stop the plane going forward. There may be some turbulence in front of the plane, but there is no way you can land or hide. You have to go straight until you land or run out of the gas (no one wants that thought). While sitting next to the window and thinking about my future, I can clearly see where I am heading to.
Big Picture!
I was not very exciting about the in-flight entertainment. The moves suck! So I was looking at those flight attends running around serving the hungry people. I don’t want to be the one serving foods to others. I can do much better and enjoy my life as passenger. So I look down and saw the cloud. I realized that the cloud blocked my view. I could not see the ground. I did not even know if I was above the Ocean or above the mountain. There was no way I can know until I saw the map on the tiny LCD screen in front of me. That’s right. A map helped. I figured that I was above the Ocean near Japan.
This strikes me the big time. Where is my map of my journey? I do know my destination. I do know what I am looking for, where I am heading and when to stop for a rest, but I don’t have the lines connect those piece together. Ah! What’s dumb! I am taking the long route to reach my next stop. I have wasted time on something I should not touch.
I have the full strength and energy to reach my goals, but I was not drawing the straight line. It’s time to adjust my pace and do the right things. I need to shorten my time get to reach my goal, because I have wasted time.
Are you someone like me? Have you evaluate your journey from the 13000 feet?

Even though I haven’t done this evaluation at 13000 feet. I know when flying you can get time for a bit of soul searching or personal evaluation especially on those long haul flights.
You are right Terrance, you surely need that clear map of what you want to achieve in life. You will see all the pieces getting into place. Whether it’s that easy, not so sure
Any number of times Terence. I know the feeling and can empathize with you. From what little that I have seen so far of you, I have no doubts that you will reach all your goals. As the Brits say, you have got a square head on your shoulders. Another thing, you have not wasted any time. You have learned. That is a great achievement.
I wish you all the best.
@Sebastian:
Thank you for stopping by. I am sure we will all figure out what to do in our short life.
@Dining Tables:
Do you have to always make my day?
Thank you! You are right. As long we are making progress, we don’t waste time. I just need to save more time for my joy and fun with families.
And why not Terrence? I love your style, chutzpah and ‘can do’ attitude. If the world had many more like you, it would be a better place, believe me. I am right now surrounded by what looks like defeated souls who are ready to give up despite my cheerful(!) company and communicating with you gives me a high!
@Dining Tables:
I appreciate your kind words. That motivates me to continue what I am doing. I guess we will be meeting each other at the same landing airport in our life someday.
At the moment I am reading Reposition Yourself (Living Life Without Limits) by T.D. Jakes. It touches a lot about re-evaluating your life by looking at where you have come from and where you are going and what you need to get there. You mentioned something about having wasted time. The way I (now) see it is that there is no such thing as a waste in time if you use all of those life events to your advantage. Life is about trial and error and you will stumble and fall now and then. The main thing is to know where you want to get to and keeping at that goal if it something you really want to do and worth it.
@Gerri:
Well say! I just want to make sure that we spend time on the right thing. Budget your time to do the right thing at right moment is not an easy joy.
I am just about to leave my job to go travelling, and hope to be doing a lot of contemplation of my life whilst I am away/sitting on areoplanes. There is definitely something really inspirational about thinking about your life from a dissociated point of view – gives you some real clarity into what is important and where things are going.
@Crowdstorm:
Good luck to your travel. Go have some fun! When you review your progress with a relaxed mind, you see the world differently.
Thank you for stopping by!
