Still chasing the happiness? Why not share it?
That was the question I asked myself in the past few days, since one of my close family member were very sick. It got me thinking about what I have done in the past in my life. Have I done anything to bring in happiness? Does money matter that much to bring me the happiness? Will money bring me just the fortune at the end? What if I have to spend my fortune in the hospital?
No No! That’s not what I have dreamed of. I have dreamed to travel around the world. I have dreamed to be very very rich. I have dreamed to buy my dream 4×4 SUV. I now realize that I have dreamed about happiness and a healthy life all along.
What’s your definition of happiness?
I am happy that my wife is very supportive on what I am doing to be my own boss. I want to be a great Internet Entrepreneur. I am happy that I don’t have too much to worry about my financial situation. However, does that mean I will have great happier life from now on? This is not the first time I see my close family members of friend got so sick. It once again hits me heavily. Will my dream of being the great success Entrepreneur take me to my destiny?
By searching some great happy photos on the internet, I felt much better being a healthy person. That happy smile made me really happy. One of my dreams is to bring the people around me happiness. So I have to do something to make it happen.

Happiness is a state on mind, not about how much money you have. I have seen a really rich person who is very unhappy because he is dying of cancer and a begger who is having a wonderful time playing with his little daughter and their happiness was evident in their laughter.
@Recliners:
You are right. Money usually don’t bring a long term happiness. When you have money, you either worry about how to spent it our worry about how to make more. That’s exactly how I feel about happiness.
Do you have something to share?
Hi Terence – I feel so guilty that I haven’t found a pic to send you yet. I think your idea is wonderful.
Happiness and success are closely related and I don’t believe you can have one without the other.
Dr Elizabeth Kubler Ross worked with the dying and she said it is not the things people have done that they regret when they’re on their deathbeds; it’s the things they didn’t do.
@CatherineL:
Not to worry. I know you will find one eventually. I think you are right on the happiness and success. However, I will add achievement in front of happiness. Personally I think there is an order among the three. Achievement, Happiness and Success. With achievement, you will feel happy. With the both achievement and happiness, you can definitely say you have success.
Dr. Elizabeth is correct. I was a pathology researcher in the hospital. I know how those patient felt.
I shall visit your new blog and offer you my opinion that you have sought, by giving a famous quotation. I am not very good at uploading photographs, but I shall try when I have some really good ones to send you.
You and pathology research! Wow you are something yet Terence. Do share some of your experiences with us.

@Dining Tables:
That’s right. I was doing DNA Sequencing, Cancer research, Molecular biology in the pathology department in the hospital. You are not the only one interested in my past and background. My life could be a weird case study. I think I should rewrite my about page sometime. Keep tuning in.
Hi,
As you mentioned, achievement, happiness, success comes in that queue but again all of those are tangled together and people interpret each differently.
Success and happiness – closely tied up, again I agree with CatherineL. However it can be small successes and small happiness that keep us going for the real big one. The big goal is really something, but dont forget about this current moment to enjoy and serve.
I think we need to FEEL successful. Success comes in various shapes and sizes. Do something worthwhile, complete a meaningful task, and enjoy the good feeling. That is what I do in small steps towards my dream.
p/s: I love your smile project!!
@Jenz Lggo:
I agree with you.We need to feel successful. We build our success one step at a time. Sudden success won’t last long. The happiness won’t last long either. Achieve is built piece by piece. Take your step slowly and build your happiness for a life time.
That’s why I am building the happiest blog in the world, I want to see why people are happy with their life. Some great smile will help me to forget the sadness and motivate me to over come them. Eventually, I will live happier.
Would like to join me and share your happiness with me?
Thank you for stopping by!
You can have them both … but more important is the happiness. With money you cannot buy the happiness but you can sustain it
Regards
@Jon Do:
I am sure your site can bring more happiness.
My grand daughter was born with a life threatening disease and we were told she would not live 6 months. She has defied the odds and recently celebrated 5 years.
The point is that we never know how long we have so we must enjoy every minute, like she does.
We all only have the present moment, we are not promised anything more. So, enjoy the present and all that you have.
