Are you an entrepreneur singing alone on your journey? Are you a one man band on the stage? You are singing your favorite songs to your crowded audience, but you are singing alone. The facts are that you will never be able to singing alone without some helping hands behind the scene.
Are you a great solo signer on your journey?
There is never a success concert with just one man singing alone. You will need a lot of help to setup your stage, lighting, audio equipment, event manager and the most important people - your audience. A self-motivated entrepreneur journey is a lonely journey. It takes a lot of time and energy. With some helping hands and the audience, it makes the journey much more fun!
Why you need to build your band for your entrepreneur journey?
I am not new to the blogging world, but I have met some great new friends / bloggers in the blogging world. I have not met those people face to face, but they are either my helping hands or my audience on my entrepreneur journey. Building my own business and fulfill my dream is not just about make good money for living. It’s also about those people who helped me solving problems, inspired me on new ideas, and motivated me moving forward.
Where to look for your helping hands?
- My audience - My blog readers are my best audience. Interact with my readers make me a better person on my entrepreneur journey. Some of my audience dislikes what I am offering. They often woo my post or just left my blog without a foot print. Knowing my audience helps me understand my weakest point and helped me move on the right direction.
- My favorite blogs - Reading other blogs is like listening to the background music at the concert. It helps signers singing. It also gives the signer express what’s on his/her mind.
- Competitors - With the other signers on the same stage in the same concert, you can definitely see who the audience’s favorite signers are. It’s like the American Idol competition. You know who the audience votes the most. It helps your adjust your signing strategy and choose your songs carefully.
Are you singing alone on your journey?
I am hoping that I have helped you on your journey. If you ever feel down, don’t hesitate to contact me and exchange your thoughts. My blog is open to people like you. You don’t have to sing alone. I am here with you!

yeah singing alone sucks unless you stand under your shower. Actually I like to sing alone, but dance with people
that’s probably due to my pretty pretty voice…
Thanks for the linklove, I really like your idea with the secondary blog for your images.

Thanks for the link love Terence. I am glad to be an example of what is possible. It seems like so long ago that I was a broke, new blogger. And to think, it’s only been 7 months…

I often feel like I’m singing alone. I have a weekly contest where I promote people’s products, etc. Only getting about 20+ comments. Not sure why….

@Sven:
Thank you! I was told by few professional bloggers to focus on one niche on one blog. My blog have too much everything. So I thought it may be a great idea to separate my photo collections to other blog.
Ha. I used to break dance in crowd alone. People made a circle around me. I can never sing alone. It will sounds like a wild monkey zoo.
@Bryan Clark:
Yeah. It’s been a while since you started your blog. I am glad that you are doing great! Keep it up!
@Chic Girl:
I only have one contest on the other blog. I just don’t think a contest will make a good sale, if the people who joint the contest are not your audience. Thank you for stopping by!

Thanks for the link!
And, thanks for mentioned Bryan’s blog too. I didn’t know he had bought back his old blog. I hadn’t visited it much since he sold it.
Nice use of a comparison with a band! Soon, you’ll be using words like “Naked” in your titles too.
Yeah, you could have titled this one, Things You Can Learn from Bare Naked Ladies! Would get you some cheap traffic.

@Dan:
Yes. Bryan is doing much better now.
I saw your posts about the Naked Lady. I thought about using words like Naked Sexy Lingerie Model make you an entrepreneur.
How does that sound?

To be honest, I am learning as much as I can to be a true success business man. I have been in IT industry for too long. I read a lot of business news and blogs everyday to learn as fast as I can.
I find your business blog a great sources as reminder. I love those few post about starting new business. They are very good points.

Hi Terence!
You know I am in your audience and listening carefully to the musice you make! I know I have only been following your blog for a few weeks now, ever since I started mine, but so far your blog has given me an emotional push and inspired me in many ways, so I hope you keep making music for a long time!
You say “It’s also about those people who helped me solving problems, inspired me on new ideas, and motivated me moving forward.” and that is exactly how I feel about blogging. It is not the money, but it is the base of support which is most important to me and right from the beginning I have been reading what you wrote with a feeling of recognition, going through many of the things you are writing about.
Keep it up!

Terence, you’re my favorite, hands down! Even moreso because you overlooked the clutter from the weekend, lol. I’ve been a little slow to blog lately and come over here and woah. I think I need to spend a few hours over here catching up on trends as well as tried and true tips. I learn so much here, thanks my friend! xo

@Stacey:
You are my favorite too. Not to worry about your blog. I subscribe to it, so I will get the most out of your brain.
Anyone who felt down or upset should just look at your smile. It’s a therapy. It’s the nature cure of sadness.
Keep smiling.

I think this post is interesting in the sense that, to build any business, whether it’s a blog or a company that sells physical products, you need a band, or in traditional terms, a “team.”
March 11th, 2008 at 12:16 pm
@Flimjo:
You are right. Building a virtual team for your online business is very important. You never know when those little friends will give your a big helping hand.
March 11th, 2008 at 12:19 pm
I have to say that I agree 100%. You definitely need a team and connections.
March 11th, 2008 at 12:21 pm
@Chic Girl:
All of your are my team members…
