Happy New Year - A kiss from the distance

While I am traveling to Asia and pursuing my new online adventure, I have left my lovely wife home alone on the other side of the earth. It’s been almost 20 years since we met and 9 years since we were married, we seldom separate apart for New Year. We always count the final seconds and gave each other a sweet long kiss. Make some wishes and have a warm hug. That’s not going to happen this year!
What I really need now is a kiss from the distance!
It’s going to be a wonderful but a little lonely New Year eve this time. I know what I will wish for and I know 2008 will be a wonderful year for all my families. I will just miss the kiss this time. There are goals to be set and action to be done. I will work harder, smarter and make myself stronger.
No matter whom you are and where you are. I hope you enjoying your New Year eve with your lovely other half.
My wife doesn’t read my blog, but I will still say that here.
My dear baby:
I miss you! I love you from the bottom of my heart. Although I can not be with you this year, I am sending my kiss to you thousands miles away. Let’s make the best wish ever!
Happy New Year!

Very nice sentiments, well expressed. I do hope that at some point of time, your wife will get to read it. I know how you feel just now, having been a traveling salesman for many years.
Yet, today I am with my wife and son and we shall bring the new year in together.
Thank you for your wishes and it gives me great pleasure to reciprocate.

Terence, woah! You brought a tear to my eye, you! I hope your wife just this once clicks onto your blog and reads that post–and I hope other hubbies around the world read this and say something equally as romantic to their wifes. Happy New Year, Terence, I’m so glad I start this year counting you as my friend. xo

Thank you and happy new year.
@Stacey:
I love to be your friends. Your smile make me feel better in 2007. I am sure you will show me your bigger simile in 2008.
@Steve:
Yeah. I guess many people celebrate new year differently. I was standing in the crowd and amazed by the fireworks.
Happy new year to you all!

So romantic and touching. How I wish your wife would read this post. Don’t you think that sometimes absence makes the hearts grow fonder?
Happy New Year and have a safe trip to be with her soon.

Thanks! She actually doesn’t need to see my post. Sometimes, no word is better than thousand words.

I think I am also a lucky one. Without her, I won’t be such a loving person.
