Be your own boss and running your own business are not easy jobs. You have to plan, prepare, practice, and execute the plan. It’s like climbing the mountain. You go up and down. Regardless how tired you are, your goal is to reach summit. Regardless what you bring with you how many rests you take and who you meet on the trail, you always move one step at a time.

Life is just like building a forest business. You plant one tree at a time.

Many people are afraid of climbing up to the mountain, because they think it’s difficult and hard. However, the hardest part is actually going down hill. It actually hurts your knees. Once you reach the bottom of the valley, can you climb up again? Or you are stuck in the middle of no where?

Doing business is just the same. It’s hard to climb up to the top. More importantly, can you climb up again after down time? A successful business man can take the challenge and go up and down. If you are afraid of climbing the mountain, you probably don’t have chance to reach the summit. If you can reach the summit but can’t take challenges to go down hill, you will never be able to reach a higher summit.

So I have plan, practiced and executed my plans over and over again. I think I have climbed many business mountains already. I don’t always reach the summit, but I tried my best. I move one step at a time. I might be moving slowly, but I am moving forward and firmly. I have been enjoying the sight scene, there is no regret.

That is how I encourage myself whenever I feel down. I encourage myself that facing challenge in the business world is no harder than climbing the mountain. I need to plan well, prepare all the necessary mountain gears and go for it. I always remember that reaching the summit is just another beginning of reaching next summit.

Do you climb the mountain? How do you encourage yourself when you feel down? I would love to hear your thoughts.
