Best communication tool for your home based business - AIM Phone Line
Opportunity, Entrepreneur, Business, Technology November 2nd, 2007Do you operate your home based business? Do you have multiple businesses running under one roof? How many calls do you get a day from your valuable customers? If you have multiple home based businesses to operate, you need to get AIM Phone Line services.
AIM Phone Line services is one of the wonderful Internet based services AOL.com provides. It allows you to receive calls and make calls right from your desktop or laptop. It also allows you to send the incoming calls to voice mail and check you voice mailbox from any phones or right from your desktop with AIM client tools.
I post “Does your online business cost you fortune - AIM Phone Line & AIM WIMZI” yesterday and realized that it may be helpful to give you more idea about how I operate my customer services with FREE AIM Phone Line.
With AIM Phone Line account, you get a local phone number for FREE. You can pay monthly fee to dial anywhere in the world with no limit. I use the services to communicate with my supplier in Asia. The rate is cheap and call quality are good.
So why is this service good? I use AIM Phone Line with AIM client to operate my multiple web sites. I have multiple AIM/AOL screen names. I also got different local phone numbers for each online business. Of course, I also download the free client tool from AIM.com. The most current version is AIM 6.5. It’s an all in one communication tools. It can do the following for you.
- Send Instant message to my friends on AIM and AOL
- Send SMS message to cell phone in the USA
- Have video chat with friends
- Receive calls from customers on AIM.
- Receive calls and send to voice mailbox when I don’t want to answer the calls.
- Receive calls on my own laptop while traveling to anywhere in the world with internet connection.
- Block the calls
- Get notified when there is a missed call or someone left voice mail. I got notification on cell phone and email.
The best part of these services is described as cross notification in my own terms. Here is how it works. Once you download the AIM tool and creates multiple AOL or AIM accounts (includes free email account), you can associate the accounts into one major accounts. You simply go to AIM tool menu bar -> Edit -> Settings -> Buddy List -> Linked Screen Names: -> Manage Linked Screen Names.
You simply linked all accounts together. So you only need to login to AIM with the main account. You will see all screen names in AIM. Now. The best part is to login to each single one of you AIM Phone line services and add the main account name to the notification list under the administration control panel.
That’s it!
When you receive calls to phone number #1, you will get a notification popup on your desk telling you that you’ve got a call for your business #1. When someone calls on your phone number #2, you get a notification popup for your business #2.
So you only need to have one client tool to receive the calls for all your home based business. What’s even more wonderful! I have people working for me to take care of customer services. She is living few miles away from my home office. I add her account to the notification list for one of my online business. When someone calls that number, both of us will receive the call notification popup on our desktop. Either one of us can pick up the calls. In other words, I have people stand by online waiting for customer services call.
Isn’t that wonderful?
Do you have home business? Do you want to save cost on operating your own home office business? Get AIM Phone Line services
