10 “I don’t” self-misconceptions make you a no millionaire
Motivation, Opportunity, Entrepreneur August 2nd, 2007Do you ever wondering why you are not a millionaire? You have been working so hard and you think you did everything you can, but you are just not as lucky as others, who are already a millionaire. I just post a topic about “Do you look like a millionaire? Train yourself first!” You need to first act like a millionaire! Now, many people did not realize that the barrier of being a millionaire is not what others think about you. It’s not what you did wrong. It’s all about what you think about yourself.
So what are the most common misconceptions that make you a no-no millionaire?
We often blame on the environment, the situation in our career or the crisis in our private life. So our mind told ourselves that we can’t be a millionaire. Of course, be a millionaire is not easy. No one ever said it’s easy. What I have learned in the past is that people are failing on what they want to do because some misconceptions about themselves.
- I just don’t think so - If you think this way, you will never be a successful person. You are not even close to be a millionaire. You will just be a loser all your life. If you don’t believe yourself, no one will believe you. Yes you can!
- I don’t know what I want - I don’t really know what I want to do to be a millionaire. You just missed a huge potential to be success. There are many things around you in your life that you can make it better. Help other will give you some idea what people need and what you can do to help them. Most importantly to find your brilliant idea on solving people’s problem.
- I don’t have time - Oh! I have fulltime job, so I don’t have time to work on my own business. Do you watch TV? Do you shopping for something you don’t really need? Do you spend time chatting on the Internet. Do you think about your job while driving home? Do you go to bar? You got planet time to think about your own business and work on your own business.
- I don’t know how - If you know what you want to do, but you are not trained to do so. Why not get training? Why not look for the solution on the Internet? There are many resources that you can get answer form. Internet has been a primary resource for people to find answers.
- I don’t see opportunity - The business I want to start has no chance. Too many people are already doing so. Think about Google. There were already Yahoo, MSN, Ask, AltaVista, Lycos and many other search engines out there way before Google. Why Google is the number one now? You need to make your business stand out by offering solutions to your customers.
- I don’t want to take risks - I have families to feed. I need to buy a new car. I can’t afford the risk to lose. Well. You are a loser already. If you never try it, how do you know you will be failing? Even you failed the first time, it means you will be success the next time. Risks? No pain no gain! You just need do thing carefully to avoid creating risks.
- I don’t think I am smart enough - No one is smarter than you. How many reports have you seen about millionaire’s IQ? You need to be good at what you know. Make yourself the expert in what you do. Trust yourself that you are the best person in the world to do the job!
- I don’t have resource - Oh! What is wrong with outsource your plumbing job to someone, since you are not good at it. Your job is to focus on how to get your million dollars and do your best on what you can do best. Leave other stuff to those who can do better than you. You have planet resource out there waiting for you. Look for it.
- I don’t have degree - Huh? What is degree for? There are many millionaires out there don’t have degree. Degree will help you get a better job in your career, not getting your first million dollar.
- I don’t have money - Who said that you need a lot of money to start your own business to make your own million dollars? First, you need to have a good business plan that will drive investor attention. Don’t exaggerate your financial potential, but be honest. There is money out there to help you multiply your revenue.
Again. It’s not easy to make your first million, but it won’t be that hard at all when you get your first Million dollar.
What do you think about yourself now? Can you be a millionaire?

Edison said that genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. If you don’t think you can, you can’t and that’s mainly because you won’t try if you think you can’t.
That’s why having the right mindset is so important. It’s not that you can just think it and it will happen, it’s that if you don’t think it then you will be discouraged from even trying to do it.

“Luck is a point where preparation meets opportunity.” Cant remember where I read this but its true.
All the 10 dont’s you mentioned above are excuses really. I have met and read about many people who started from ZERO and reached amazing heights. Its all in the mind, the rich think differently.
Good post. Take care and cheers.

Excellent post. It is all about being able to recognize opportunities and being ready to claim opportunities when they show up. Some would even argue it is about CREATING your own opportunities.
