If you are my loyal reader, you probably already know that I have been so dedicated on gaining traffic from any possible resources in the past few weeks. In the past month, I have been getting huge traffic from StumbleUpOn.com, Google Search Engine, BlogCatalog.com and MyBlogLog.com. Who doesn’t want to get traffic to their web site?
Now I have found another good resource for blogger. BumpZee.com, a good social network for people to exchange thoughts and create buzz on the Internet. I could not remember where I saw the post, I have heard people talking about that Google is utilizing BumpZee as one of the trusted authority for calculate Google Page Ranking.
Since I join BumpZee. I have joined few communities such as the No Nofollow | I Follow | DoFollow Community created by AndyBeard, who is one of dedicated blogger. By joining those communities, you exposing yourself to many other with the same interest. You also expose your own post to majority of the reader on BumpZee, which is one very good features for the blog owner. MyBlogLog.com recently release the similar features, but I think it is too late.
So you might be asking me what exactly BumpZee can do for a blogger. I will rephrase this question to “What can I help others on BumpZee?” At this moment, I will not ask for something in return, I will offer something to others. Base on my experience with StumbleUpOn, I realize that the best way to get good things return back to you is to offer the good things to others. If you read my other StumbleUpOn + traffic related posts, you will understand why I post “StumbleUpOn – How to make yourself a good stumbler” yesterday.
So how do you offer others on the BumpZee to bump up your traffic and readership? First of all, you will need to join BumpZee and see if yourself, if you have not done so. Second, add me as your friend. Same as StumbleUpOn, more friends you have more exposure you will will get from the public. Here are things you can do to offer other BumpZee users.
- Write up a good quality content on your blog.
- Add your blog to BumpZee, which will automatically read your RSS Feed and post on BumpZee.
- Join communities that you are interested in
- Add friends.
- Create new unique community if there is no one already done so.
- Add BumpZee Widget to your blog. This is very important step.
- Add Bump This script to your post. I did not do so, because I don’t really have a lot of friends to bump my post. At least not yet.
- Provide your professional thoughts in different communities to help other solving their problems.
So after you done all those things, what’s the benefit you are getting?
If you look deeply in BumpZee, you will find something interesting which no other Social network really offer to you.
- No nofollow rel link. You have the option to to turn this feature off, if you don’t want the links to your blog counts.
- The widget will track your most popular post and rank it on BumpZee in many communities you joined. In order words, your most popular posts will be list as top post in the following three types of links. Latest entries, Top entries and HotSpots.
Here is one example. One of my posts is listed as “TOP ENTRIES” in one of the communities which has PR5.

So why is that important. If you think Google Page Ranking is important to you, you will need to know what nofollow can harm you in the big way. So you need to check out and join No Nofollow | I Follow | DoFollow Community. One really big difference BumpZee had is the high Google Page Ranking communities, which do not have NOFOLLOW by default. So that means if your post is list on top in the communities, you will have chance to be found by Google. Google will than trust your post as a good and qualified content.
Remember, there is no magic just like I post a while ago. “StumbleUpOn – The No-Magic facts of building traffic.” Do you get the points? With all this hard working effort on BumpZee, you will get better page ranking and free readership from many of your friends on BumpZee. If you have more friends, the chance is that they will BUMP your post on your blog. The higher score the higher position on BumpZee’s high page ranking communities. Isn’t that all we want?
I hope to see you join me on BumpZee. Drop me a line! Let’s make the communities better!

One thing missing.
As well as joining communities, it is important to add your blog to the community as well, or it won’t be listed.
Approval process is manual, so it is important your blog matches the topics covered.
In the case of the Nofollow community topic doesn’t matter, but there are clear requirements listed.
If you have good content, the chances are that you will get bump anyway.
Being a friend is not really a prerequisite. At least that is how I treat all the post.

I hope you two enjoy the BumpZee as well.
Thanks Terence – I’m off to join now….
You write that the more friends you have, the more exposure your blog gets. Could you please explain why? Thanks!

All I said above are based on my observation, so please correct me if I am wrong.
On StumbleUpOn, it is using “index, follow” on every pages by default. That means search engine will follow through all page and index the content. If you have a lot of friends, you have higher chance to be viewed by other viewer from your friend’s page. It also get you higher chance to be found by search engine.
Some of the members on StumbleUpOn have really good Google PR, which means their page will be crawl more frequently and faster. So if you are his/her friend, you get better chance to be indexed and better chance to get higher page ranking.
It will not directly help you gain traffic to your blog or increase your blog’s PR, but it does help you gain exposure.
Again, please correct me if you have different thoughts.
Thanks!
I agree bumpzee is a great community to join, its very similar in ways to the others such as blog catalog but the fact that your pages are all exposed via rss is great

I agree with you. I find BumpZee much cleaner than other blog related community. I don’t get a lot of traffic from BumpZee, but I met some good friend and got some good advise on BumpZee. I like it too.
Thank you for stopping by!
I saw peoples in Bumpzee not so frenly like in MyBlogLog. In Bumpzee i add peoples as a fren but only too few accept that and they don;t even come back to my blog, not like in MyBlogLog almost all people will give response to us and visit back my blog

haha… I believe many BumpZee members went their were disappointed by the result of the traffic they are getting. For me, BumpZee is not for getting traffic to your site. It’s a nice community to build your reputation and true relationship with other bloggers. Gaining traffic and page ranking are just few of the benefits.
I don’t get a lot of traffic from BumpZee, but I found some very awesome blogs there. I have learned something from the people in the communities.
If you want to build a long term traffic and increase your readership, BumpZee is the place to do so.
As usual Terence, you find great details that others don’t. I think you should really focus on this area, as i think it is a strength of yours. Really i do. I am a member of Bumpzee, along with all the other major blogger communities, and did not know this thing about the RSS feeds. I think i only belong to 3 communities, am not really active at Bumpzee, will give them another look sometime this week. Thanx for the good tip.
Missy.

Thank you! I tried to use any possible resource to achieve my goal. I just digg a little deeper than others do. There is not magic. Just like SEO. You can always find something deeper.
I have not involved with BumpZee lately. I am moving on finding more aggressive ways to increase my readership. I am also working on my next business start-up. It’s going to take me a lot of time to reach my goals.
Enjoy BumpZee. It’s a great community.
