For the past 7 days, I have not had any instance of down time with my blog hosted on ANHosting.com. It was great. About two weeks ago, my site was down for almost every 2-3 days. It was not a good experience while I have low traffic. I even found out that my site was not fully indexed by Google while my site was down. I look at Google Webmaster tools and found many “Network unreachable” error under Web Crawler section.
I have post many and many problems I have had on my other “Never Down” blog on Blogger.com. I have list few of the post here for you to read what was killing me.

I was on and off with ANhosting.com. Now I am happy with ANhosting for the past 7 days. Even better, I have made a little profit and already covered my cost to host at ANHosting.com for the whole year. Isn’t that nice? I can pretty much say that I host on ANHosting for FREE!
Yeah. The side effect of ANHosting.com problem is that my Blog More @ terencechang.blogspot.com has became one of the top pages when people search “Anhoting sucks, ANhosting issues, Anhosting server crash” on Google. That is just funny that I saw how many people found my pages. In other words, there are many people either are looking for solutions about ANHosting’s problem or are looking for ANhosting.com review. I have found that ANHostingReview.com over rate ANHosting.com services. I don’t even visit that web site until I signed up. I was wondering if I made wrong decision after all those troubles.
In the past two weeks, I have done a lot of work to get more traffic to my site. Here are some tips and tricks I do to improve my blog. My traffic has since boots to almost 1000 unique users a day. And best of all, my host server is still running without down time. I even done a load test trick(tab browsing) to force load all my 100 posts at the same time.

I singed up ANHosting.com and joint their affiliate program right after I signed up ANhosting.com. Not like other hosting companies. You don’t have to be their customer to join affiliate program. I just received the notice that I have made few customers signup through my referral. Wow. That is great. I don’t even push it at all. Thanks to my viewers. I am just hoping that ANHosting.com equally treat all their customers. So there is no more server problems.

I might have been too easy to satisfied. Compare with all other hosting companies I have been with. ANHosting.com is still the best shared hosting so far. It’s really cheap shared hosting, so I won’t put my golden egg on that basket.
I am just telling the truth that their server was up and down. So whoever sign up their service through my web site is making their own choice and take their own risk just like I did.
Not many other hosting company admit that they have problem. Some companies don’t even bother to deal with customers. ANHosing.com, at least, post their problem on their site. I just don’t like that they tell you they have problem and have never tell you the solutions.

I switched hosts three times in a year and I’m finally happy with HostGator, very fast and very reliable with far and away the best customer service. Not as many options, but is still the best I’ve found.

Thank you for visiting. I did thought about HostGator. Their server are really fast, because they are either part of or owned by ThePlanet.com. Theplanet.com is one of the highly recommened dedicated hosting provider.
These were the reasons that I did not choose HostGator.
1. They don’t have toll free tech support call.
2. I called them over 10 times randomly and only get answered 4 times. I got hold for over 5 minutes 3 times. So I have to paid the long distance.
3. I tried to chat online, while the icon indicates the tech support is online. I got hold for about 5 minutes before someone get on.
4. For the same price hosting plan $6.99, they only allow one domain.
5. I don’t have access to PHP.INI file.
I got better answers from ANHosting.com. I was not aware of the datacenter issues they recently have until I pass my first month.
