ANhosting unreachable – No phone, no online support
To shorten your reading, I have made conclusion.
I still recommend to host with ANHosting.com after all these troubles I have. I have dealt with HostingZoom.com, CrystalTech.com, GoDaddy.com, Globat.com and many other small hosting companies for my ex-clients.
- HostingZoom.com is the worst – Their failover server has never fail. It’s just die.
- CrystalTech.com is good for ColdFusion, ASP.NET and MSSQL hosting, but more expensive and less features.
- Godaddy.com known to be the best for domain name, but their shared hosting server is too slow
- Globat.com is cheap with lots of disk space, but not very stable for high traffic site.

I am at hosting zoom on a fallover account and have to agree the server has a tendency to “fallover and die”. but this is normaly only for burst. I know moving my sites is on my todo list but finding a good home is the issue.
I was with Ifasthosting before hostingzoom, things were great for 5-6 months no down time then they sold the company and in their reorganization my site was unavailable for a collection of reasons the better part of 10 dsy before I collected my information and left.
FINding a good host is a problem for most everyone.
Yes. It was painful to switch hosting, especially I have more than 10 domains and some of them are e-commerce site with SSL. To re-assign the SSL certification is the most painful things, because you will have down time and no one can make purchase because your site is not communicated between your shopping cart and your merchant account such as authorize.net payment gateway or Paypal payment processors.
ANHosting can just upgrade my server to their MidPhase.com dedicated hosting in case I need to. So it’s expendable. Well. Tough lock on HostingZoom.com. I don’t even have option to upgrade my oder shared hosting site to their failover server. I have to cancel it and make my own backup and upload everything to a new server. They don’t have tech support to do that for me.
That really upsets me. I will stick with ANHosting for now. Good luck on your search.
I have been with Bluehost for nearly a year and the experience has been very good. Haven’t experienced any downtime so far. Will definitely recommend bluehost to people.
Thanks Wang:
I was considering BlueHost before choosing ANHosting. I did a short comparison on my blog here.

I did made some calls to them, they don’t response as fast as ANHosting does and I could not find their server status blog or report pages.
They don’t have Dedicated and Virtual Private Server(VPS) upgrade option and they host 300 accounts on the same low CPU power server. Currently, you are hosting with other 200 domains. You can check it out here.
http://www.myipneighbors.com/ and type in your domain name.
I am glad that you are happy with them.
You have a nice blog.
I have this problem too. ANHosting is not good service.
@fkux:
I heard that ANHosting is switching to their new datacenter soon. I hope their service is getting better.
