After few years hosting with other crap hosting companies, I finally switch over to ANHosting.com. I am impressed with their services. The server is fast, the online chat is responsive, the phone support is answered in the short-time manner.
I have been searching and searching for the new web hosting for months. My previous hosting company really sucks. I hosted two accounts with them. One is on their failover server and one on their old shared hosting. The shared hosting is even better than their failover hosting. I lost at least 10 sales transactions due to their server failure. They don’t pick up tech support calls. Their online chat is handled by people in India. They are nice, but they never answer your question directory or even hung you up with “Connection drop” excuse. They always said something like “Your server load is fine after we restart the server” or “We just reboot the server and everything looks fine. Your site is up and fast”. What a crap. I won’t release the hosting company name until I moved all my sites over. Otherwise, they will cut me short, which they did to others.
So what hosting company have I looked into?
What about others? I checkout GoDaddy.com, and many other hosting companies such as rackforce, rackspace as well. I finally decide to go with ANHosting.com for the following reasons.
- I called 5 times within a week before I sign-up. My calls was answered less than 10 minutes waiting time over weekend and midnight.
- The online chat is responsive. Although the tech support was not very technical, he does admit it and ask me to wait a few minutes to get answers from others.
- They have the best features with 250GB diskspace, lots bandwidth, 20 add-on domains and 50 MySQL connections the same time.
- After getting hosting information, I realized that my site is on the newer server with PHP5 installed. I asked to move PHP4 server, which they did very quickly.
- They do not support custom PHP.INI and by default to enable Magic Quotes. However, I can make this changes in the .htaccess file
- The server responsive time is reasonable and faster than my previous hosting

I believe ANHosting will give you total 20 add-on domains plus unlimited parked domains.
I am not sure what that extra 10 domain pointers came from. You can try it out. If they don’t credit it back to you, you can always call them and they will add to your account. That is what they told me earlier. I don’t think I will ever be able to use 20 add-on domains. So it doesn’t matter to me.
Some people said ANhosting.com is over selling their plan, but I don’t use that much. As long as the server is stable, that is all matter to me.
