Auto Accident lawer - Insurance

Blah Blah Blah No Comments »

Since I got my accident two days ago, I have been dealing with two insurance companies. Due to the unbelievable excuse from AllStates insurance, I will not get paid by AllStates for the property damage and rental car due to insufficient fund. It sounds to me that the faulty F150 driver are not paying enough amount of insurance with his policy. So I have to deal with my own insurance company to get the rental car.

Wait! I was driving 2003 Toyota Sequoia full size SUV. I can only get a mid-size sedan? That make no sense to me. So I called few law firms and chat with some of the big auto accident attorneys shown on TV. Well. I am out of luck. Since I have to deal with my own insurance company, I get what my policy said. I only have $30/day allowance to get rental car, which is provided by Enterprise Auto. That sucks.

I just can’t believe that AllStates told me that they can’t pay me because not enough money? What a BS. Once I check up with my doctor and see how much my medical bill is going to be, I will go after them. Good luck to me.

Toyota Sequoia accident 2007/03/26 - I am OK

Blah Blah Blah 1 Comment »

Just got really bad auto accident today. I am OK. I am still in shock and in neck pain. Will have x-ray result tomorrow. I am so glad that I was driving this 2003 Toyota Sequoia, otherwise I don’t know what else could happen.

I was heading south and trying left turn with green arrow light on on Arizona AVE and Elliott. I was on lane one and there was a Chevy truck on the lane 2. When the green arrow light is on, we both see no car heading our direction, I hesitated a little. So the Chevy truck pass me and start left turn. While I was in the intersection, I just saw the Chevy truck flew away 360 degree to the other corner of the intersection. Before I realize what was happening, I got hit by the F150 pickup truck on the right front corner of my Toyota Sequoia.

All three of us are not hurt. The F150 front is totally smashed. My Sequoia was not looking good either. The Chevy truck was hit on the rear right corner with fron tired blow out. Now my Sequoia is sitting in the Towing company’s yard waiting for insurance company to check up.

It turns out that the F150 driver is just 19 years old Mexican. At the accident scen, the young boy was even laughing and chat with Cop like buddy. The cop only ask me where I was and not even asking for details.

The you driver don’t even have driver license. What can I do? We will see.

I love this Sequoia so much. It’s only 40K miles. I drove it to camp, hiking and long tour to New Mexico, Colorado, Ulta, California and back to Arizona. Now it’s a junk.

Should I start thinking …

Garmin GPS eTrex in China - Yellow Mountain

GPS, Travel, Technology No Comments »

Before I came on 6 months travel to Asia, I decide to get a GPS device to record where I stop and where I went. I records all of the waypoints and upload them to a small program I wrote. It will list the major waypoint on Google Maps. Which allows me to look at the big pictures. I use this GPS device in the Yellow Mountain (HuaShan). The mountain is so beautiful. It’s named the #1 mountain in China. If you’ve there, you will agree with me.

So I took my GPS into the mountain. That actually tells me where I am and what are the latitude and longitude. So we know how far we staill need to climb in the mountain. At the end, we spent 9 hours up and down in the mountian. It doesn’t include the time we spend in the cable cart up and down the mountain. We cannot believe that we finish the the #1 mountain in one day.

Next time I will stay over night in the mountain to see the sun rise. The following pictures are one of the best scene I love. It’s so scary. We don’t know how people make this pathway. It’s unbelievable.

We pass the challenge and look back what we have done. That’s really scary.

Back to my GPS, it’s the most basic model from Garmin. It doesn’t support the map, because it’s not compatible with Chinese version of map and there is no map in China. So why spent few hundred $$ while I will not be able to take advantage from it.

Again, I can resist to watch those photos and dream about to come back again. The weather changed every seasons, so it will be great to come back in spring. So I can enjoy the high water and fog season.

There are two major rivers, one is bigger one is smaller. They all look different. This place is so quiet. You can take the boat service, which will take you to the up side of the town. It’s so beautiful.

Online photo album comparison. Yahoo Photos vs Google Picasa Web Album vs AOL Pictures

Technology No Comments »

Last year, in my previous blogs, I wrote a blog about Google Picasa Web Album Review / Test Drive and find out that I hate it so much.

I was so happy with Yahoo Photos. See blog. Yahoo Photos Beta Review - Simply the best!!

Almost a year after that, I start using Google’s new Picasas Web Album. In this post, all of the pictures are host on Picasa Web Album. Before all this, I was using Yahoo Photos for my primary photo album to share my photos. Since last September, I am using AOL’s Free Pictures site as my primary to save my blog photos. I have also test drove PhotoBucket.com’s photo sharing sites. What’s next? And what do I like. My bottom line is that all of the photos I uploaded are either already resize, modified or in the original format. I don’t do editing online. I do however require to link to photos from my blogs or ebay auction site.

Well. There are three winers.
1. Yahoo Photos for family photo sharing without disk size limitation. However, it doesn’t allow me to link the photos from my blog. So not good for blogging.

2. AOL Pictures - I was use AOL pictures for blogging and list my ebay auction items, so I don’t have to pay eBay extra gallery fees. AOL Pictures has not disk size limitation. It does allow you upload unlimited photos. One things sucks about AOL pictures, is that I can’t group my photos in albums in their public photo gallery. So I don’t want o just share thousand travel photos in one place. Not good for sharing photos. Good things with it is that I can easisly get the image links for blogging.

3. Google’s new updated Picasa …

Travel Photo - YangShuo, China

Travel No Comments »

This is one of the pictures I took while traveling in China for months. This photo is taken at YangShuo in China. The river is so calm. We got up early and took the banboom draft on the river. There is no one else except my wife, me and our couple friends. This is one of the best vacation place in China. It’s so beautiful. There are fishman fishing along the river. Local people’s daily life are all depended on this river. Women wash hair and their cloths at right next to each other. That’s weird.

One Chinese food I really love in that small town is the rice noodle. It’s a bowel is huge and it’s so spicy. We were staying in the town for more than a week. We almost have the noodle every morning. It’s interesting that every restaurant has different flavor. You just got to taste all of them one by one.
